CONCEPT and FORMAT

So our concept for this calendar is "fashion coloring your months for a year". there are different theme for each months just like we told from last post, each month has different theme.
About the calendar itself, we will make it looks like a scrap books, so the calendar will be handy, elegant but also cute and informative about fashion at the same time.
Here the format for the calendar
the grey spot is where we put our design about fashion itself, we will combine a lot pictures and make it like a collage with photoshop. we also will add effect like it cut from a magazine and then we glue it, just like scrapbooks, and also some comment for the pictures.
collage is when we combine picture by overlaping it or just put is site by site but closely.
example :

make it like scrapbooks, here some ideation

ok, that's all for our concept, look more for our future work :D

THEME 2

JULY : HIPHOP

Hip-hop fashion is a distinctive style of dress originating with African-American youth on the scene of New York, Los Angeles, Orlando, Chicago, Philadelphia, the San Francisco Bay Area, Detroit, Memphis, Atlanta, and Miami among others. Each city contributed various elements to its overall style seen worldwide today. Hip hop fashion complements the expressions and attitudes of hip hop culture in general. Hip hop fashion has changed significantly during its history, and today, it is a prominent part of popular fashion as a whole across the world and for all ethnicities.

AUGUST : BOHEMIAN
Bohemian fashion is an artistic style of dress that many people enjoy wearing. The style varies from ethnic trends to vintage fashion, and can even include traditional hippie-style clothing. An element that most bohemian fashion wearers share is a desire to express themselves aesthetically. Most venues carry items considered acceptable for bohemian dress. Secondhand stores in particular often provide bohemian fashion enthusiasts with a plethora of wardrobe materials. They might find scarves, unconventional patterns, punk t-shirts, plaid skirts, sunglasses, and a variety of other items to create a unique bohemian style. A bohemian often considers his or her entire body, including its fashion elements, as a work of art

SEPTEMBER : PUNK
Punk fashion is a fashion style largely associated with the punk movement during the late 1970s and early 1980s. It varies very widely from Vivienne Westwood styles to styles model on the bands The Exploited and Black Flag.
A classic punk fashion look might consist of: a pair of combat boots, motorcycle boots or Doctor Martens boots, tight jeans or tight leather pants worn with a ripped T-shirt and silver bracelets. Hair would often be trimmed with an electric shaver, and sprayed with Rave #4 hairspray. Other accoutrements worn by punks often included: bondage pants, ripped fishnets, spikes, tattoosbody piercing, and pants with leopard patterns. Also often worn would be leather motorcycle jackets with words, band names and symbols written on them with paint markers. Other accessories included: studded jewelry and many safety pins (not only in clothes, but also as body piercings)

OCTOBER : FLORAL
Lately fashion has gone blooming with actresses and model flaunting floral prints and dressing up in garments, which had both delicate sprigs and bold bohemian blooms in them; making flowers the fashion world's current darling buds.

NOVEMBER : MOD
Significant elements of the mod subculture include: fashion (often tailor-made suits); pop music, including African American soul, Jamaican ska, and British beat music and R&B; and Italian motor scooters. The original mod scene was also associated with amphetamine-fuelled all-night dancing at clubs. From the mid-to-late 1960s onwards, the mass media often used the term mod in a wider sense to describe anything that was believed to be popular, fashionable or modern.
There was a mod revival in the United Kingdom in the late 1970s, which was followed by a mod revival in North America in the early 1980s, particularly in Southern California

DECEMBER : WINTER
Winter  fashion is usually used in winter. fashion winter clothing usually use a thick material. materials used for this style are usually hairy, parachute, cotton, wool and other thick clothing material.

THEME 1

this is our theme for each month

JANUARY : VINTAGE
"I don't see vintage as a trend; it's style with no end!"
Carrying a vintage handbag is synonymous with asserting a forceful personality! It shows unconventional, individual style that is unique. The important thing, no matter what you wear, is to feel confident. Give free rein to your own personal style and imagination

FEBRUARY : ELEGANT
"believe that style is the only real luxury that is really desirable"
To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common - this is my symphony - William Ellery Channin

MARCH : BABYDOLL
A babydoll is a short nightgown or negligee intended as nighwear for a female. The garment is often trimmed with lace, ruffles, bows and ribbons, optionally withspaghetti straps. Short daywear dresses of a similar style are sometimes called babydoll dresses. Some styles are similar to what is worn by dolls in the form of infants, and by some infants; the gown is short enough that diapers are easily changed (above from Anthropologie).

APRIL : SUMMER
"A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken.  ~James Dent"
"Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit.  A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world.  ~Ada Louise Huxtable"

MAY : HARAJUKU
Harajuku (原宿) in Japan refers to an area around Harajuku train station. Harajuku style is a japanese fashion adopted by the teenagers and young adults in the area and its side streets which have many boutiques, trendy stores and used clothes shops. Japanese Harajuku Girls and Harajuku Style has been used to describe teens dressed in many fashion styles ranging from Gothic Lolita (also gothic loli) Visual Kei, Ganguro, Gyaru, Kogal, to "cute" Kawaii style clothing.

JUNE : FUTURISTIC
We’ll find futuristic fashion in asymmetric designs and details, new and interesting fabrics, and unusual touches. Cutting-edge fashion from Japanese and French designers is often in the forefront of somewhat unisex, unique pieces. Modern fabrics and even a touch of space age have been found in this season’s futuristic clothes at Hussein Chalayan’s most recent show. We saw a simple palette of black, white, gray, and a smattering of pastels, but there were plenty of futuristic details to go around
